About Angelica Lux
As a lifelong sports fan, admiring sports photography should come as no surprise. Throughout my time at Piedmont University, I gained an interest in shooting sports. There were many opportunities for access to sporting events at Piedmont because it is a Division III school. I began taking pictures here and there for the Athletic Communications department to build my skills in my sophomore year, and my interest in sports photography and the desire to get better only grew.
For my capstone, I am focusing on sports photography. My intent is to analyze how sports photography shapes sports media, influences fan and audience emotions, and enriches cultural experiences. This project will result in six deliverables: a research paper, a promotional package, a podcast, photo stories, an online portfolio, and this website, housing all the deliverables.
